🚀 Class 4th Science
Chapter 1: Push and Pull (Introduction to Force)
📖 1. Detailed Introduction
Have you ever wondered how objects move? 🤔 How does a toy car start moving, or how do you open a door? The answer is Force 💪! In simple words, any action that involves a push 🫸 or a pull 🫷 on an object is called a force.
🫸 What is a Push?
When you move an object away from yourself, it is called a push. For example, kicking a football ⚽, pushing a swing 🪿, or pressing a doorbell 🔔.
🫷 What is a Pull?
When you move an object closer to yourself, it is called a pull. For example, opening a drawer 🗄️, pulling a toy cart 🛒, or opening a refrigerator door 🪟.
✨ What can Force do? (Effects of Force)
- 🛑 It can make a stationary (stopped) object move.
- 🧱 It can stop a moving object.
- 🔄 It can change the speed or direction of a moving object.
- 🥎 It can change the shape of an object (like squeezing a sponge or clay).
