Water is one of the most precious gifts given to us by nature. All living things like humans, animals, birds, and tiny plants need water to stay alive. Without water, life on Earth is not possible. Clean drinking water has no color, no smell, and no specific taste.

Main Uses of Water

  • Drinking & Bathing: To keep our body healthy, hydrated, and clean.
  • At Home: For cooking food, cleaning utensils, and washing clothes.
  • For Plants & Animals: Plants need water to make food, and animals need it to drink and cool down.

Where Does Water Come From? (Resources)

1. Natural Resources: Provided directly by nature. Rain is the primary source of water. Other examples are Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, and Oceans.

2. Man-Made Resources: Built by humans to pull out underground water. Examples are Wells, Tube wells, Hand pumps, and Dams.
